Golf Training Aids – Ramp Up Your Game Big Time

For anyone who is serious about golf or simply just wants to improve their game, golf training aids can help them get to the next level. There are aids for virtually every part of the game of golf, including fitness, swing, putting, and practice, just to name a few. So no matter what you are struggling with, there is probably a product for you.

There are many places where you can buy these products. Major retail stores such as Sears, Kmart, Walmart, and Target that sell just about everything will have these products, as well as specialty sports stores like Sports Authority, Golfsmith, and Academy. There are also many online venues, both for these stores, major online retailers like Amazon and eBay, and for specific stores that only have an online, golf-oriented presence.

The possibilities are limitless, but online shopping is generally more convenient. It saves time, and enables individuals to do it whenever they want to in the comfort of their own homes while avoiding crowds. There are also generally better prices and deals online, with various discounts and rebates available, along with more choices of products. Keep that in mind while thinking about the golf training aids described below.

To begin with, fitness is extremely important because it enables golfers to lengthen and strengthen those specific muscles that are so important for golf, as well as for posture and balance. Golf training aid products that have to do with fitness work specifically on these issues, and range from items like DVDS and books that show individuals how to do work-out programs, to actual exercise products that assist people in working out these particular muscles.

Likewise, swing is vital to the game of golf. The most popular items for this category are golf swing trainers. These items can help work on muscle memory to help golfers take the ideal swing over and over. It also helps individuals understand what they need to work on or are doing wrong, whether it has to do with distance, alignment, consistency, or some other issue.

Putting and practice are equally important to the game of golf. Golf training aids for practice can help people with their game even if they can’t make it to the golf course. Practice mats are especially helpful, as they can be put in indoor or outdoor spaces and mimic real conditions, which is very good for the winter months. For putting, putting mats are similar to practice mats. Putting trainers are also useful and can help individuals keep their putter stable and in the correct motion.

These are just a few of the many products available today. Whether you’re having trouble putting, just need some extra practice or to strengthen specific muscles, there are golf training aids for you. Keep all of your options in mind and happy shopping!

Family Camping Holiday Tips & Advice

Camping can be exciting and interesting with family around. Here are few tips and advice to make it a lot more better, interesting and safer.

Camping is ideal when out with family, however, safety precautions are to be taken.  For this reason, it is ideal to go with registered campsite providers and get a tourist guide when going around the city also me sure to look at independent campsite reviews. Taking a map for directions, keeping phone numbers handy and having emergency contact numbers are important.

Being a tourist, you are likely to have all the travel documents with your. It is even more important to carry them with you, when heading outdoors. Most places including hotels, car renting companies and for general identification or verification, these documents are mandatory. Original documents are always better, though you can take a photocopy if you don’t want to run a risk carrying originals along.

Most accommodations, hotels and eateries are affordable in France. However, when it is season time, or when around tourist spots, the rates can be quite higher. It is ideal to research ahead of entering a premise, than asking later.

When you are managing your tenting requirements, you need to adhere to certain regulations. You need make yourself familiar with those, if you don’t want to be pulled off when holidaying.

If there are no kids in your family, going off season would be ideal. Any tourist location would be crowded during holiday season, needless to say about the costs. During off season, the prices are low and the place will be less crowded. If you have flexibility with schedule, choose off season.

Ensure you take the following with you when on camping without fail:

ñ  Mats / Blow Up Beds

ñ  Tent with necessary accessories to get it set-up

ñ  Portable Gas Stove

ñ  Utensils for cooking / eating

ñ  BBQ & Lighter

ñ  Water

ñ  Torch / Emergency Light (The latter is better, since it has flashlights that might come in handy if you run into trouble)

ñ  Kettle

ñ  Tea Bags / Instant Coffee Mixes/ Milk Powder/ Condensed Milk Tin

ñ  Foldable and compact chairs

ñ  Tissues & Toilet Rolls

ñ  Bottle/Tin Opener

ñ  Cutlery Set

ñ  Basic Medicines & First Aid Kit

ñ  Vitamin Supplements

ñ  Sugar / Sugar Cubes

ñ  Toiletries

ñ  Soap / Detergent for cleaning clothes / utensils

ñ  Combs and other accessories

ñ  Skin Care Creams / Lotions (Moisturizer, Sunscreen, etc)

and just about anything else that you might need. For those looking to go for outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, swimming, wildlife sanctuaries, etc, taking along relevant accessories is important.

It is important to teach kids about basic safety measures before heading out.

Also, at any given point of time, having a phone handy and ensuring it is within the network range is important. When adhering to these tips, camping can be exciting and safe.

Best Places to Go Camping in Italy

As a child, I always longed to travel to Italy, which was probably influenced by my great love of lasagne. As an adult, I’ve been lucky enough to be able to indulge my passion for Italian cuisine and culture, by taking an annual camping holiday in Italy. Over the years we’ve visited several regions of Italy, but three stand out as the best : Lake Garda, the Adriatic Coast – Venice and Tuscany. Each of these destinations has its own appeal, which keeps us returning year after year.

Lake Garda

Lake Garda was one of the first places that we visited for a family camping holiday, and remains one of our top choices when planning our summer vacation. The crystal clear waters of the lake are surrounded by awe-inspiring mountains, which gives you a wonderful sense of being close to nature, yet excellent facilities in the area mean that you never feel too isolated. Horse riding treks, hiking, boat trips, fishing, bird-watching and cycling are amongst the many activities available when camping at Lake Garda, which means that there really is something to appeal to every age group and personality. Other attractions in the area include the historic city of Mantua, where modern life bustles within ancient walls, and our children’s favourite – Gardaland, which is one of the most extensive theme parks in Italy. We would recommend Lake Garda to families who are looking for a holiday which will allow them to relax and rejuvenate in pleasant natural surroundings, while having plenty of options for exploring or trying new activities.

Adriatic Coast – Venice

The second of our choices for the best places to go camping in Italy is on the Adriatic coast. This area has plenty to offer families and couples who want to enjoy a beach break, with several beautiful golden sandy beaches to choose from. We always choose camping sites which are in reasonable proximity to Venice, and take several day trips to see the famous sights and enjoy a trip or two on the canals. Another bonus of camping on the Adriatic coast is the possibility of taking a boat trip to Porec in Croatia, where you’ll find the old town which is listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site. Overall, we’d recommend this region of Italy when you want a camping holiday which combines culture and history with plenty of good old-fashioned sunbathing and swimming.

Tuscany

The province of Tuscany is our third favourite selection for the best places to go camping in Italy. We love the picturesque landscapes of this region, and tend to go for camp-sites which are not directly on the coast, but close enough to make it easy to fit beach days into our itinerary. Florence is one of the famous attractions for tourists in this region, while Pisa and Rome also vie for attention with their host of ancient buildings. Visits to vineyards are also a typical Tuscan treat, and one that any wine lover should be sure not to miss. We recommend camping in Tuscany primarily as a base for visiting the cities, but also for those who fancy a rustic, countryside escape.

Where to Eat in Southampton

My wife and I have been going on cruises from Southampton several times a year for a while now, and have found that arriving a few days before our embarkation date is an excellent, to extend our holidays. We always book a hotel or bed and breakfast accommodation for one or perhaps two nights, before our cruises from Southampton are due to set sail and use the spare time we gain to relax and get in the holiday mood. Sometimes we indulge in a little last minute shopping (mostly my wife!), see a show at the Mayflower theatre or visit a museum or two.

One thing that we always do is sample the cuisine on offer in some of Southampton’s many restaurants. The choice available is diverse, and there is something to suit every mood from casual cuisine to fine dining. Whether you have an appetite for Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian or even traditional British food, you’ll find a whole range of options in Southampton.  As we have now been on a number of cruises from Southampton we have now started to find some firm favourites in the city. The following lists are our top three recommendations – why not give one of them a try before your next cruise holiday?

Yo! Sushi

Yo!Sushi is located within the WestQuay Shopping Centre, which we like to use as a meet up point after my wife has been on one of her legendary shopping trips (apparently a woman can never have enough shoes or bikinis!). The menu includes over 80 different Japanese style dishes including sashimi, soups, salads, hand rolls and maki. We have always found the flavours very fresh, presentation delicate and appetising, and the prices very reasonable at around £16 per person for lunch.

Restaurant at The Legacy Botleigh Grange Hotel

The first of our cruises from Southampton was planned to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and we decided to make our trip extra special by dining at the Restaurant at The Legacy Botleigh Grange Hotel. With an AA Rosette rating, this is one of the finest restaurants in the area, and well worth the short drive to get there. The spectacular dining room has a glass domed ceiling, which sets the scene for the wonderful cuisine and romance. The flavour is modern British, with Mediterranean touches – very tasty and all cooked to perfection.

Rasraj

If you only eat one meal in Southampton, make sure that is at Rasraj, an Indian restaurant located on Oxford Street. We both think that they serve the best curries we have ever tasted, and would recommend that you give them a try, even if you are not usually a curry fan. The owners and chefs of Rasraj are passionate about food and use locally sourced ingredients – and you really can taste the difference. Far from being a run of the mill Indian restaurant, Rasraj stands out as offering a memorable dining experience time after time, and their menu is very well priced too at around £22 per person for dinner.

Change Your Life with Cruises from Southampton to the World

Southampton is a lovely city with some interesting sights and a lot of friendly people. If you ever get the chance to go there you should. However, it doesn’t seem like the kind of place which could change your life, does it? Maybe a gentle holiday or shopping trip could be had here but how could it make a big difference to your life?

Well, one of the top things on offer here in the South coast of England is the range of cruises from Southampton to exciting destinations all over the world. Could one of these change your life in one of the following ways?

Discover the World

Normally if you wanted to discover the world you would need to invest in a huge rucksack and a pair of trousers with an unfeasible number of pockets. Oh, and you would need to take a year off work and live on a shoestring for the whole time as well. Going on a cruise is a different way of seeing lots of new places and it is certainly a good deal more comfortable. For example, if the Caribbean is the part of the planet which you are most interested in then you can take a cruise which lets you visit a number of different islands in the region. Of course, you can still buy those trousers with all the pockets if you want to, but a pair of short and a t shirt might be more suitable for most daily activities on board or during your trips to the shore.

See How People Live

This might sound the same as the previous point but it isn’t really. You can discover the world on a hot air balloon flight or from space but you can only see how the people really live by getting close to them. This is actually a point which some people might regard as a weakness of cruise holidays but that isn’t really the case at all. If you take advantage of the time you have on land then you can enjoy lots of opportunities to speak to locals and enjoy a bit of their culture. You won’t be spending weeks living like the locals so, but sometimes it is the quality rather than the quantity which counts.

A New Type of Holiday

Most holidays are fun but don’t leave you with much lasting impression. In fact, sometimes when you look back at the snaps after a few years you might not remember very much about the time you spent there. One of the best aspects about cruises from Southampton is that they give you the chance to take a type of holiday which not only sticks in your memory but which you can enjoy on an ongoing basis. If you find that this way of hopping from one lovely, sunny island to another is right for you then there is nothing to stop you doing it every time you can get away. With so many places to explore it is highly unlikely that you will ever run out of ideas for new destinations.

Holidays in Italy are Not Just About Rome

When you are planning a trip to Italy the first city to spring to mind is probably Rome. The Italian capital is one of the most exciting and historic cities in the world. It is suggested that around 10 million tourists come here a year, and it is behind only London and Paris in the list of Europe’s most visited cities.

However, there are amazing holidays in Italy to be had elsewhere so let’s look at a few of them to see what else is on offer here.

Venice for Romance

Is there anywhere on the planet more romantic than Venice? Many of us dream for years of sailing down the famous canals in a gondola, and if you get the chance to go there you certainly should. There are loads of things to do in Venice and simply wandering about and soaking up the beauty of the place isn’t a bad idea at all.

Florence for Art

Some people class this as the most picturesque and cultural city in the world. It is certainly worth going to even if art and churches aren’t normally your thing. This is part of the region of Tuscany, so expect great food and a lot of great fashion here. Be warned though, a lot of tourists who come here end up coming back every year. If you like to see a different city every year you might to think about going somewhere a bit less fascinating.

Naples for Excitement

Naples is famous for pizza, music and people using lots of hand movements while they speak. This is a noisier, brasher place to spend some time and it makes for a great base. A trip to the famous ruined city of Pompeii is a must for anyone who wants to see the history behind an ancient tragedy.

Milan for Class

This is the second biggest city in the country and it is famous for fashion, football and culture. You may have heard a bit less about tourism in this place than some others on the list but it is still well worth visiting. You won’t believe the stuff you see in the shops here, and you might want to take your best gear with you if you want to blend in with the locals.

Italian Beach Holidays

We have covered all of these great cities but what about the beach? If you are planning to head off on holiday then you aren’t going to want to miss out on a bit of sand and water based fun, are you? The beaches here may not be as well known abroad as the ones in Spain or Greece but they are excellent. Many Italian beaches are seen as classy, exclusive areas where relaxation and feeling good are the main concerns. There is certainly less brashness here than you will see in many beaches elsewhere. There are top quality stretches of sand all over the country and even if you base yourself in one of those brilliant cities you should still try and make time to head out to the water at least once.

Essential Beauty Products to Pack for Cruise Holidays

If you are planning cruise holidays for your annual vacation, you might be wondering what type of beauty and skin care products to pack. Having been on a number of cruise holidays with my family, I have gone to both extremes – packing far too many products and not enough of the right things. In order to make packing easier for future cruise holidays, I’ve come up with a list of essential items that I found invaluable, and feel that every woman will appreciate having in her beauty bag.

Cleanser

Even if you don’t plan to wear a lot of making during your cruise holidays, be sure to pack a cleanser. Cleansers come in cream or foaming formulas, as well as wipes, which are impregnated with the product. My top tip is to go for wipes – economical and easy to fit into even a small suitcase or handbag, they are also handy when the kids get ice-cream all over their faces. Cleanser wipes are good because you are much more likely to use them after a long day. I just pop the pack beside the bed and then I can just wipe my make-up away before going to sleep.

Tinted Moisturiser

If you don’t want to wear full make-up during the day when cruising, but feel naked without a touch of foundation, think about buying a tinted moisturiser. This is a multi-purpose product which will give you a hint of healthy colour, while covering up any blemishes for a smooth finish.

Eye-Cream

Even if you don’t use an eye-cream at home, you may want to add one to your beauty routine while on cruise holidays to counteract the effect of long days, late nights, wind, sunshine and indulgence! Dab eye-cream on every night before you sleep, using your ring finger to gently tap the cream around the eye-socket,  which should help to prevent wrinkles and bags forming.

Deep Conditioner

Chlorinated pools, salt-water and sun can cause split ends and frizz, leaving your hair looking less than sleek and stylish. The best way to deal with this is to pack a couple of sachets of deep conditioner into your beauty bag. This will help to prevent and repair damage to your hair, and will take up very little space when packing.

Sun Protection

Whether your cruise holidays take you to the Mediterranean or the Caribbean, you need to ensure that you protect your skin from the potentially harmful rays of the sun. Invest in a high-quality sunscreen which  has an SPF rating of 25 or more, and make sure that all family members apply it regularly. Sun protective lip-salves  or balms are also a good idea – these products are designed to both soothe and hydrate, counteracting the drying effect of the salt in the air and the sun.

Exfoliating Shower Gel

A gentle, exfoliating shower gel will help to remove dry cells which can make your skin look dull. Choose a product which contains beads or granules which don’t feel rough or painful, but have a pleasant massage sensation against your skin. I find that using a body scrub, or polish as they are sometimes called, leaves my skin glowing, and as an added bonus, helps to prolong my suntan.

Luxury Items Most Likely to be packed for a Holiday

Although most of us go on holiday to escape the stresses of our working week there are still a large number who can’t let go and insist on cramming their cases with home from home luxuries. There’s nothing wrong with this, of course, as listening to your favourite band or artist as you lay by a sun soaked pool is a perfect way to unwind, however it does mean you need to make sure you purchase travel insurance before you go away so you can be certain that all luxuries you take with you will be covered in the event of anything going wrong with them. Even the cheapest holiday insurance policies should provide an efficient amount of cover for a majority of items taken away so there isn’t really an excuse not to be covered.

What are the biggest luxuries we just love to take on holiday?

Laptop

A favourite amongst business travellers in order to keep up with office on goings, there is an increasing number of those travelling for leisure who are taking them too. Often used as a way of staying in touch while on holiday, you need to be really careful to make sure an unfortunate incident doesn’t occur. As well as being damaged by sand or water when using by the beach/pool, laptops have become a desirable item of choice for thieves and so you may wish to use some deterrents. You are now able to download a tracking app to your desktop, for instance, or writing your postcode on it with a UV pen in case it does get stolen.

iPad/iPod

As popularity increases and Apple devices continue their quest for domination, it’s no surprise that many people choose to take their iPad or iPod on holiday with them. Once again, as a high end electronic good, they are a popular target for opportunist thieves so care needs to be taken when using outside the comfort of your room.

Mobile phone

An everyday item for a vast majority of people these days, mobile phones are really useful to have whilst travelling as they allow you to stay in touch pretty much wherever you are. This is great for personal security as it allows you to make sure someone always knows where you are – especially important if you’re travelling alone.

Kindle

E-readers are also an extremely popular device and they’re great for those of us who like to go away with a whole library worth of books, as it means we now don’t have to take an extra suitcase in order to do it – A particularly useful gadget for long term travellers. Kindles and other e-readers are great to have, but they’re also something else you need to keep an eye on while you’re travelling to make sure they stay with you at all times.

Hair straighteners

Finally, we come to hair straighteners……and hair curlers…..and other electrical hair-related devices. It seems that no matter how humid the weather is on holiday, we’re still intent on trying to tame our tresses into something approaching normality. Vanity products such as these certainly warrant a place on the ‘luxury holiday items’ list.
